Each ½ cup serving of Swell Ice Cream is 120 calories and delivers category-leading levels of 10g of protein, and only 9g of sugar and 2.5g or less of fat.
All flavors of Swell Ice Cream deliver a category-leading, excellent source of protein at 10g per ½ cup serving. A full container provides 35gs of protein.
The category-leading, excellent source of protein in our ice creams comes from whey protein and the dairy in our ice creams is sourced from small dairy co-ops committed to providing the highest-quality, rBST- and rBGH-free milk.
Each container of Swell Ice Cream contains 3.5 servings (½ cup = 1 serving).
We use both cane sugar and xylitol to sweeten our ice creams. We chose to use Xylitol as it has a sweet flavor that helps keep our ice creams delicious, yet contains only 60 percent of the calories. It also has a lower glycemic index than sugar.
Xylitol is found naturally in many fruits and vegetables, and our bodies also produces 5-15g of xylitol per day through normal metabolism of carbohydrates. Xylitol has also been safely used and FDA approved for more than 40 years.
The good source of fiber found in our ice creams comes from inulin (chicory root), which is known for its prebiotic and blood-sugar-stabilizing properties and is a soluble fiber.
Yes; Swell Ice Cream is certified gluten-free by GFCO and carries the GFCO seal right on our package.
Yes; Swell Ice Cream is certified OU-D Kosher.
Yes; Swell Ice Creams are low glycemic based on our ingredients and nutrition panels. Our original six flavors, including Vanilla Bean, Dutch Chocolate, Mint Chip, Mocha, Coconut and Dark Chocolate Toffee are certified low glycemic by GI Labs. We are currently seeking low glycemic certification for our newest flavors of Swell Ice Cream, including Salted Caramel Crunch, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, Cookies ‘n Cream and Chocolate Chip Cookie Batter.
Yes; all of our ingredients are Non-GMO. We are not certified, but follow stringent sourcing practices to make sure all of our suppliers deliver Non-GMO ingredients.
No. Currently, all Swell Ice Creams contain dairy.
