If you are what you eat…

I must be a ProYo High Protein Frozen Yogurt!

Before founding ProYo, I owned a drive-thru frozen yogurt, smoothie and coffee shop called Twin Cups in Santa Barbara, Calif. I was inspired to open that shop because I felt there was a need for a place where people could customize a smoothie or frozen yogurt any way they wanted using natural, delicious and nutrient-dense toppings and mixers.

When I founded ProYo, it was important to me that the product deliver awesome nutrition when eaten on its own, but that it also be just as versatile as what I had served at Twin Cups, allowing people to customize the product for their dietary needs and taste preferences. Today, I’m proud that our ProYo High Protein Frozen Yogurts fulfill that need for a versatile food you can use anytime of day to get extra nutrients.

Believe me, I don’t just walk the walk, I talk the talk. On any given day, I end up eating 3-4 ProYo High Protein Frozen Yogurts a day because it’s a simple and convenient way to get the protein, fiber, probiotics and more that I need to stay properly fueled and satiated. Plus, I can combine each flavor with a variety of other ingredients to satisfy my cravings for something cool and delicious.

Looking for some inspiration? Here’s some of the more surprising ways you’ll find me enjoying a ProYo High Protein Frozen Yogurt on any given day:

Tropical Breakfast Smoothie. I’m not a big breakfast person, so you’ll often find me grabbing a ProYo to enjoy on-the-go to get fueled up in the morning. When I do have time to make something more, I combine the Blueberry Pomegranate or Banana Vanilla ProYo with coconut water, fruits like pineapple and mango, and ice for a tropically-inspired start to the day. Wondering how much coconut milk to add? Use the ProYo tube as a measuring cup after you’ve pushed out the yogurt and you’ll get just the right amount!

Orange Julius Hack. I admittedly get cravings for carbonation throughout the day. Instead of reaching for a soda, I’ll make a better-for-me orange shake by combining a Vanilla or Banana Vanilla ProYo with carbonated water and a splash of orange juice. It satisfies my need for something carbonated and I feel good knowing I’m still getting important nutrients.

Moussetacular. When you pull a ProYo High Protein Frozen Yogurt out of the freezer and keep it in the fridge overnight, it gets closer to a mousse consistency. I’m a big fan of thawing out our Dutch Chocolate flavor to this state, whipping it up further and then adding in either fresh, minced mint or chopped up oranges, and a dollop of whipping cream for a more nutritious and guilt-free dessert.

Pre-/Post-Workout. No doubt you need good protein stores before a workout, and to recover after a killer session in the gym. I like reaching for ProYo Protein High Frozen Yogurt before a workout because I get 20g of protein but in a smaller serving size that won’t leave me weighted down. After a workout, if I have to rush back to the office I’ll most often grab a Blueberry Pomegranate or Banana Vanilla ProYo to quickly refuel. If I have more time, I’ll combine a Vanilla ProYo and watermelon chunks in the blender to get not only legit levels of protein, but also the added hydration of the watermelon.
